Robert Kenneth Lyons

Robert Kenneth Lyons, age 87, passed away May 19, 2024 in New London, IA.

Robert was born November 7, 1936 in Burlington, Iowa, the son of Kenneth and Rose (Steiniger) Lyons.  Robert went on to serve his country through the United States Air Force.  After which he worked as a maintenance manager within the Burlington Medical Center and Great River Medical Center for 27 years.  Robert was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan.  In his younger years he loved playing drums and enjoyed the solitude of fishing.

He married Betty Jean Calhoun and later divorced.

Robert’s family include his son, Kenneth A. Lyons (Rhonda); 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; and his sister Wanda Phillips.  Sadly, Robert was preceded in death by his parents.

A simple cremation has been arranged in accordance to Robert’s wishes.  No services are scheduled.  He will be laid to rest at Aspen Grove Cemetery.
