Robert Francis McNutt

Robert Francis McNutt, 66, of Burlington, died at 10:55 PM Thursday, September 2, 2021, at his home.

Born December 28, 1954, in Poughkeepsie, NY, he was the son of Robert DeWitt and Martha  Locke McNutt. On July 31, 1982, he married Cindy Lou Sutton in the Los Angels Temple in Los Angeles, CA. 

Prior to continuing his education, he served two years on the South Dakota-Rapid City Mission. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Engineering. 

Robert worked as an engineer for Northrop-Grumman Aerospace for over 30 years.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He loved being a temple worker in the Los Angeles Temple. Robert was a very artistic person and enjoyed building tiny villages for display, especially Santa villages and gnome doors. He also liked to take car rides out in the country. Robert was looking forward to being Santa this year. He was a very kind person and a friend to all.

He is survived by his father, Robert McNutt (98); wife, Cindy; four children, T.J. Sutton and his daughter, Sage Sutton, of Palmdale, CA, Robert Scott McNutt of Burlington, Kimberly Carol McNutt of Kearney, NE, and Paul Anderson McNutt of Burlington; six siblings, Carol Nichols of Arkansas, Julie Bell of Utah, Terri Frazier of Idaho, Wendy Dain of Washington, Margaret Baerwaldt of California, and David McNutt of Massachusetts; and five dogs, Cookie, Mitzi, Sparky, Coco and Peanut.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Locke McNutt. 

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM with the family to receive friends on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.

The funeral service for Mr. McNutt will be 11:00 AM Friday, September 10, 2021, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
