Ronald James Hake, 87, of Burlington, died Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Klein Center in West Burlington.
Born January 11, 1939, in Hartville, MO, he was the son of Richard and Alice (Grizzell) Hake. On November 25, 1967, he married Janice Eubanks.
Jim was a very hard worker, having worked for Silgan Containers in Fort Madison for 29 years and retiring as superintendent in 2007. When he wasn't working he enjoyed fishing, watching sports (in particular, Iowa basketball), and researching on his computer.
Survivors include wife of 58 years, Janice Hake; children from this union, Rodger (Kim) Hake, Rodney (Brandi Harris) Hake, and daughter, Jennifer (Mark) Webb; sons from his first marriage, Ron Hake, David Hake, and Pat Hake; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and his brother, Richard Allen (Maxine) Hake.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Vera Ann Johnson.
Per his wishes, cremation has been arranged. No visitation or services are scheduled.
