Rosalee Frisbee Obituary

Rosalee  Frisbee , 84, of Burlington, Iowa died at 2:03 am Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at the Hospice House in West Burlington.

Rosalee was born on March1, 1937, in Shelbina, Missouri. She was the second daughter of Paul and Hazel Knapp Richards. Rosalee married Claude M. Frisbee on Christmas day, December 25, 1955 in Shelbina, Missouri at the First Christian Church Parsonage.

She graduated from Shelbina, Missouri High School, lettering for four years on the girls' basketball team. She was awarded an American Cancer Association Scholarship for nursing, but was unable to accept because of financial constraint.

She was employed at Kroger and Tillet's Cafe while in high school, and also ran a St. Louis Post Dispatch paper route. After She was married, she worked for A&P, Sylvania, Target and Northwest Fabric.

Rosalee enjoyed playing bridge, playing rummy with her grandchildren, camping, canoeing,biking, fishing for trout and bass, traveling, cruising on large ships and visiting our national parks.

In addition to her Claude, survivors include her daughter Cathy Frisbee and son Matthew Frisbee, both of Burlington, Iowa; son Beryl (Gene) Frisbee of Houston, Texas; brother Buddy Richards of Shelbina, Missouri; seven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. 

She was proceeded in death by her son Edward Frisbee, her parents, her sister Carolyn Fontenot, her brother Paul Richards, and one granddaughter.

Funeral arrangements are pending with Prugh-Thielen Funeral Home. No visitation or services are planned.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Prugh Crematory.
