Obituary
Ruth Ann Brissey, 81, of Burlington, died Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born May 31, 1941, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Fred and Hillis Long Brissey.
Ruth was of the Christian faith and attended New London Christian Church. She was a caring, giving person, always helping others. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and loved her cat, Buddy.
Survivors include two sisters, Lynn Hitchings of New London and Nancy Snider of Burlington; brother, Dennis (Sandra) Brissey of Burlington; 10 nieces and nephews; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Jeff Snider.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Friday, February 10, 2023 at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division St.
The memorial service for Ruth will be 11:00 AM Friday, February 10, 2023, at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division St., with Pastor Rod Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society.
