Ruth Ann Dye, 39, of Burlington, died Thursday, March 19, 2026, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born June 25, 1986, in San Marcos, TX, she was the daughter of Roy and Carol (Clark) Hanson. On February 28, 2012 she met the love of her life, Christopher Dye.
Ruth was a kind, independent and selfless woman. She had a deep and unwavering faith that guided her and provided her strength. She believed in taking care of others and worked tirelessly to ensure that the people she loved in her life were always taken care of. Ruth was a very talented seamstress and enjoyed making beautiful quilts for her family and friends.
Ruth's kindness, bravery and compassionate spirit will be truly missed, her memory will be cherished by all who love her.
Survivors include her husband, Christopher Dye; children, Landon Petty, Kimberly Dye, Connor Dye, Claire Dye, and Damien Dye; brothers, Jeremy Hanson, Trey Hanson, and Phillip Hanson; parents, Roy Hanson and Carol Hanson.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
A visitation for Ruth is scheduled on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 10-11 AM at the Harmony Bible Church (21589 Iowa 79, Danville, IA). A Memorial Service to celebrate Ruth's life will conclude the visitation at 11 AM. A luncheon will follow services.
Memorial contributions in Ruth's memory are suggested to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
