Stephen Arthur Miller, 66, formerly of Burlington, died at 12:05 AM Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at the Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars, Iowa.
Born November 30, 1954, in Burlington, he was the son of Duane Arthur and Corinne Marie Dunn Miller. He married Nancy DeSpain, who preceded him in death.
He graduated from Burlington High School and then from Southeastern Community College with an Associate's.
Stephen worked as a construction contractor and iron worker.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting and boating. He always wanted to be outdoors or on the Mississippi River.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Miller of Fort Madison and Adam Miller of Burlington; six grandchildren; three brothers, Tom (Wanda) Miller of Burlington, Tim (Mikki) Miller of Middletown and Jim (Bridget) Miller of Gladstone, IL; three sisters, Cathy (Ronald) Hoover of Burlington, IA, Karen (Tom Campbell) Miller of Burlington, and Mary Ann (Kerry Groening) Burford of Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Nancy, and one great-niece.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
Services will be held at a later date.
