Steven Leroy McGinity, 67, of Burlington, died Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the Arbor Court in Mount Pleasant.
Born February 2, 1957, in Burlington, he was the son of Melburn "Mel" F. (Marilyn) McGinity and Darlene May (William "Bill") Saldeen Russell.
Steve worked for Burlington Northern Railroad as a machinist and later became a mechanic.
He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and even mushroom hunting. He had a soft spot for his black labs and loved driving motorcycles and cars.
Survivors include his four children, Lindy (Aaron) Williams of Danville, Chad (Karen) McGinity of Burlington, Destiny (Josh) Reid of West Burlington, and Chris (Charlene) McGinity of Severn, MA; 11 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother, Dan (Lisa) McGinity of Burlington and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Melburn, Jr. and Gary McGinity and infant sister, Gloria.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
There will be no visitation or services at this time.
