Terry "Tara" Lynn Hill

Terry "Tara" Hill, 25, of Mount Pleasant, passed away at 11:40 AM Thursday, May 20, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City.

Born April 5, 1996, in Burlington, IA, she was the daughter of Terry and Alicia Byers Garmoe. On May 12, 2018, she married Quentin "Will" Hill in Burlington, IA. 

She was a 2015 Burlington High School Graduate and received her CNA at Southeastern Community College.

Tara was a CNA and worked at the Burlington Care Center, Danville Care Center & Advanced Home Health Care, and Grape Tree Nursing.

She loved to go shopping, garage sales, camping, boating, cookouts, spending time on the river and going for drives. She was an All Star Softball player in her youth. She loved photography and was an influencer on Facebook and promoted many people and organizations. But most of all, Tara especially loved her children and family. 

Survivors include her husband, Will, five children Michael, Selena, Hunter, Isabella, and Jaxon Hill;  her parents, Terry & Alicia Garmoe of Burlington; grandparents, Mark & Kelly Bowman, Sr. of Burlington, grandmother, Linda Rodriquez-Byers; four sisters, Winter Biswas of Las Vegas, NV, Samantha Byers of Davenport, IA, Sierra Garmoe & Kylie Garmoe both of Burlington; two nephews, Logan & Luke; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Keith Byers, and grandmother Debbie Bowman-Remick.

The family has asked that all attending the service to wear bright colors. Tara was a bright person in life and should be celebrated in her death.

Her family will receive friends from noon until 4:00 PM, Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.

The funeral service for Tara will be 4:00 PM Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Supt. Mr. Fred Starling officiating. Cremation will be entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory following the service.  A celebration of her life will be held at the large shelter house in Dankwardt Park following the service.

Burial will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Prairie Grove Cemetery. 

A memorial has been established for her children.
