In Loving Memory of Thomas Eldon Robinson
September 29, 1960 - August 31, 2026

Thomas Eldon Robinson, affectionately known as “Tommy” and “Rock,” passed away on August 31, 2026. Born September 29, 1960, Tommy was a kind soul who loved his family deeply and will be remembered for his strong spirit, determination, and warm heart.

Tommy was a hardworking man who worked at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant and Raiders Precast. He was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed watching all sports. He especially loved NASCAR, with Dale Earnhardt as his favorite driver, and wrestling, with "The Rock" being his favorite wrestler. Tommy also enjoyed attending Union Baptist Church and cherished his faith. Despite his ailments, he never let them stop him from getting out, walking around, and enjoying life.

Family was everything to Tommy. His nieces and nephews held a special place in his heart. His love for them was genuine and unconditional.  While Tommy did not have any biological children, he did love Brandi Cartmill as one of his own.

Tommy was preceded in death by his mother, Marvel Ann Robinson; his grandparents, Charlie and Florence Robinson and Dorothy Greenup; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his father, Thomas Robinson, and his wife, Samella Robinson, of Burlington, Iowa; sisters Vicki Chatman, Tawana Robinson, Tennaya Robinson, and Keyanna Robinson; brothers Timothy Robinson and Keenan (Tara) Bradford all of Burlington, Iowa; Brandi Cartmill of Houston, TX; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Tommy will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his kind heart, love of family, faith, and the memories he leaves behind.

The funeral service for Tommy will be 11:00 AM Friday, September 4, 2026, at Union Baptist Full Gospel Church with Pastor Marcus Timmons and Pastor Tim Redd officiating.  Burial to follow at Aspen Grove Cemetery.  

A time of food and fellowship will be held at Union Baptist Full Gospel Church following the burial.

Rest peacefully, Tommy. Rest peacefully, Rock. Until we meet again.
