Thomas Franklin Turner

Tom Turner, 80, of Burlington, died Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at his home.

Born April 4, 1942, on the family farm in southern Illinois, he was the son of Beaumont and Beatrice (Giddis) Turner. He spent 47 wonderful years with his wife, Reva Berrong. 

Tom was a diesel mechanic and worked for a truck stop in Marion, Illinois. 

He loved watching old westerns, listening to music, fishing and trap shooting. Tom loved his life and especially loved spending time with his family. 

Survivors include his wife, Reva Turner; three nephews, Jimmy, Ronnie, and Hal; one niece, Shirley; several great nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Turner St. Louis, MO and Renna Hawkinson of Burlington; and brother-in-law, Dale (Jan) Berrong of Wever, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Hal, Ed, and Richard Turner and one niece, Kimberly Turner. 

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM Friday, June 17, 2022 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home. A short prayer service will conclude the visitation at 5:00 PM officiated by Pastor JudyAnn Morse. Inurnment will be in Berrong Cemetery in Gipsy, MO at a later date.
