Timothy R. Boney

Timothy R. Boney, age 63, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2024 in Burlington, Iowa.

Tim was born December 3, 1961 in Galesburg, IL, the son of Robert and Betty Rogers Boney.  Tim grew up in Burlington and worked for over 40 years in automotive parts distribution through a number of companies, most recently working as the parts manager at Shottenkirk of West Burlington.

Tim was a laid back, fun loving guy who loved people.  He had a big personality and often could be found sharing stories with his neighbors.  He loved the river and could spend hours watching it roll by.  Music was a major part of Tim's life and it would accompany him often.  Tim could also be found watching a ball game and relaxing with a few beverages.  His family and friends meant the world to him.  His passing leaves a sadness, but his humor, laughter, and larger than life personality will continue on through all those who love him.

Tim's family include his three brothers, Michael (the late Norma) Boney of Burlington, Stephen (Diane) Boney of Greer, S.C., and Patrick Boney of Burlington; nieces and nephews, Julie Fleming, Katie Boney, Nick (Jess) Boney, and Taylor (Rachel) Boney; and numerous friends.  Sadly, Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Betty.

Cremation has been entrusted to Prugh Funeral Service and no services are scheduled at this time.
