Virginia Baumunk Krueger of Burlington, IA passed away February 17, 2018 at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington, IA.
She was born January 23, 1935 in Macomb, IL. She was the third of four daughters born to John and Lola Cannon Baumunk.
Virginia attended Bardolph, IL High School. She married Herman Watson. They later divorced. She married Rollin Krueger and they shared thirty two years together before he died on April 15, 1996 in Bushnell, IL.
Virginia lived most of her married life in Quincy, IL. While there, she was a manager and buyer for twenty years for Beth’s, a children’s and women’s apparel store. She enjoyed reading and dancing. As an avid bridge player she became a Life Master of the ACBL.
Survivors include one son, Craig Watson of Houston, TX; one daughter, Karen Watson of Jacksonville, FL; daughter-in-law, Carole Watson (son, Kent deceased) of Bushnell, IL. She mothered Lynn, Larry (deceased), Allan and Bob Watson. She has several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her special friend, and bridge partner, Charles A. Woodruff of Burlington, IA.
Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
Cremation rites have been accorded; no services are planned per her wishes.
